Your GitHub repos, visualized. Know what's active, what's stale, and what needs attention — at a glance.
The Problem
Developers and indie hackers juggle dozens of repos across personal projects, client work, and side businesses. GitHub's default list view tells you nothing about project health. Things go stale without you noticing. Work gets abandoned without a conscious decision.
The Solution
Orchard maps your GitHub repositories as an interactive force-directed graph. Each node carries two signals: a color-coded ring showing how recently the repo was pushed to (staleness), and a fill level showing estimated project completeness. You see the whole orchard — not just the repo you're currently harvesting.
Connect via GitHub App OAuth
access public and private repos
Preview any public account
no login required, just enter a username
Staleness ring
teal (0–14d fresh) → blue → amber → red → gray (90d+ dormant)
Completeness fill
auto-scored from description, stars, issues, activity — override via .orchard config file
Context color accents
tag repos by life area (W2, personal, client, family)
D3 force-directed layout
drag, zoom, pan — fully interactive
How It Works
Connect
Install the Orchard GitHub App or enter any public GitHub username. No setup beyond that.
Map
Orchard fetches your repos and builds the force graph in seconds. Every node is positioned, colored, and filled automatically.
Tend
See what's fresh, what's stale, what's done — then act. Drag nodes to reorganize. Zoom in on clusters. Add a .orchard file to any repo for manual overrides.
